only fun, but it is also a great form of exercise. It can burn as many calories as jogging or riding a bike, and
it is incredibly effective at toning the body. Belly dancing will not bulk you up, but rather it will lengthen
your body while it strengthens the muscles in the arms, shoulders, back, abdominals, obliques, glutes and legs, all the while
improving flexibility. Belly Dancing for the most part is low impact, and it is less strenuous on the body than weight
lifting. It's also much more entertaining than using a treadmill or sitting on a bike at the gym!

a little of this lost time, and shift the focus away from our husbands, our families, our jobs or whatever it is that occupies our
minds. Belly dancing enables us to empty the mind and center it's focus within our bodies,
and it reminds us what amazing power lies within our beautiful shape and ability to move.
